12 Towers Ocean Paddle Race 2020

Australian Junior Beach Volleyball Championships
Bringing up-and-coming volleyball players together for a four-day tournament involving U14 to U18 divisions, Australian Junior Beach Volleyball Championships 2020 is a fantastic opportunity to watch thrilling volleyball action on the beach with the chance to discover future volleyball stars from across Australia.
For four consecutive days on Coolangatta Beach Gold Coast, enjoy the 2020 Australian Junior Beach Volleyball Championships from March 15 to March 18.
Movies Under the Stars
Free to enjoy, City of Gold Coast Movies Under the Stars is a pop-up event that shouldn’t be missed for families, providing a free movie under the night sky with snacks, drinks and kids entertainment in a handful of Gold Coast locations.
This autumn, see the groundbreaking 2019 remake of The Lion King shown on a big outdoor cinema screen with lots of space for deck chairs and picnic blankets. If you’re yet to see this family-friendly blockbuster, pack some snacks and leave your wallet at home for this free Movies Under the Stars event at Elanora State School on March 14 and Caningeraba State School Burleigh on April 4.
Corona Open 2020
At world-famous Snapper Rocks, witness the world’s best surfers hit the waves for the Gold Coast Corona Open, coming for ten whole days with male and female categories and multiple competition stages to spectate.
Brought by World Surf League and kicking off the 2020 WSL Championship Tour, this massive surfing event held in one of Australia’s iconic surfing locations isn’t to be missed for fans looking to see a pro surfboarding showcase this autumn. Don’t miss the incredible daily atmosphere at Snapper Rocks from March 26 to April 5.
The Drop Festival Coolangatta
In Queen Elizabeth Park, get ready for The Drop - a new Australian music festival with a lineup that’s nothing short of epic. Coming to the Gold Coast for one date only and set against the beautiful backdrop of Coolangatta Beach, this must-attend 2020 festival is all set to deliver with confirmed artists including The Presents, Boy & Bear, Ball Park Music, DZ Deathrays, Kita Alexander, Graace and more.

International Netball Festival Gold Coast

Taking over Coolangatta Gold Coast for one whole day near the end of April, the famous Cooly Classic Ocean Swim is gearing up for another large turnout, inviting swimmers from all over Australia to join in the Gold Coast’s premier ocean swim.
Last year for its 10th event, World Series Swims introduced a 5km distance to the Cooly Classic that was a huge hit for both elite Australian swimmers and onlookers. This autumn, it’s back for the 2020 Cooly Classic, in addition to the popular 2km Cooly Classic, Cooly 3.0 and Cooly 1000m with cash prizes and trophies for all first, second and third-place finishers.

Coolangatta Swim the Gold Coast
Also hosted by World Series Swims, Swim the Gold Coast is another unmissable swimming event in autumn that will see Australia’s best athletes take it to the next level! Spanning 21.5km on a lengthy course from Coolangatta Beach to Surfers Paradise, Swim the Gold Coast 2020 is the ultimate ocean swim on the Gold Coast featuring both individual and team participation.
Just one month after the Cooly Classic, see this spectacular ocean swim take off from Coolangatta Beach on May 30.
