Gold Coast Film Festival
The Gold Coast Film Festival is from April 20 to May 1. The annual 12-day film festival brings over 100 films, panels, pop-up cinemas, parties, and other special events to venues all over the Gold Coast.
The festival started in 2002, and in 2014 it transitioned from a fantasy and sci-fi focus to a broader, international audience. The festival then experienced a significant increase in attendance, reputation, and support from 2015 to 2018. In 2016, the festival received national recognition for introducing innovative initiatives to support gender equality in the film industry.
The Gold Coast Film Festival, one of only seven in Australia, also became an AACTA-Award qualifying festival for feature films in 2017, all thanks to the support given by Screen Queensland. And in 2018, it served as the venue for the launch of Women in Film TV (WIFT) Australia.

Supanova Comic Con & Gaming
Prepare for an incredible two days when the Supanova Comic Con & Gaming returns on April 9 and 10 at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Blues on Broadbeach
Blues and music fans, in general, prepare for a fusion of soulful vocals, rhythmic tunes, and heavenly horns. The family-friendly Blues on Broadbeach is from May 19 to 22 and features a fantastic lineup this year, beginning with the James Morrison Motown Experience.
The set by multi-award winner James Morrison will be unlike any other! The unforgettable, feel-good Motown Party will undoubtedly impress the audience, particularly fans. Robben Ford, a US guitar legend, and RL Boyce, a fellow American icon and critically acclaimed authentic Blues artist, will also grace the stage and perform alongside Australian Blues star Dom Turner.

Cooly Rocks On
The largest nostalgia festival in Australia is back. Cooly Rocks On takes place from June 8 to 12 in the beachside town of Coolangatta. The festival celebrates automobiles, music, and lifestyle for five action-packed days.
Prepare for four exciting events as part of the Motor activities. A motor enthusiast's dream comes true with the iconic Cooly Rocks On Show 'N' Shine, and it will display over 600 classic cars, motorcycles, hot rods, and other vehicles. Then, proceed to the Goodwin Park Display for a specially curated Show 'N' Shine precinct brimming with various cars. The Kustom Kulture experience Kustomville, now in its second year, showcases lowbrow art, hot rods, custom vehicles, and more. Finally, prepare for an unforgettable experience as Motor Runs takes place along the coast.
For Music activities, prepare to be entertained by Australia's favourite rockabilly, swing, and rock 'n' roll artists from across the country. Last year, Cooly Rocks On incorporated the spirit of VIVA Surfers Paradise with five days of Elvis activity.

BLEACH* is the Gold Coast's annual contemporary arts festival, with a growing national and international reputation for creating unique experiences and telling authentic and uniquely connected stories.
BLEACH* Festival 2021 was cancelled due to COVID-19 developments in South-East Queensland, but it will return in August 2022. The contemporary arts festival, like previous years, will have an incredibly packed program. The festival typically lasts more than ten days and attracts hundreds of local and international artists to showcase their music, design, photography, and theatre talents.
