12 days of non-stop action will take over the Gold Coast this April for Festival 2018 Gold Coast, an unmissable program of entertainment and festivities set to take place during the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. This April you can expect a number of live music performances, circus and theatre shows, dance acts, street performers and more up and down the Gold Coast, and the incredible atmosphere that will come with it is simply not to be missed!
Broadbeach will be the festival’s central hub for live music this April, set to be the home of Festival 2018’s Queensland Music Stage. Some of the biggest names in Australian music will be performing, including Kate Miller-Heidke, Amy Shark, Lastlings, Ella Fence, Eliza and The Delusionals, and lots more. Surfers Paradise and NightQuarter will also have a fantastic lineup of live music in store, with artists Yothu Yindi and The Treaty Project, Susheela Raman, M.anifest, The Cat Empire, Hot Dub Time Machine, Force Majeure, Dancenorth, The Farm, Punchdrunk, Jeremy Goldstein, and more already on the list.
Currumbin will also play a big part during Festival 2018 Gold Coast with ‘Quiet by Nature’ and ‘VOU’. Embark on a wonderful adventure on the Currumbin Estuary with Quiet by Nature, a stunning moonlit tour with a difference. Keep your ears and eyes peeled for any ‘wild’ life! This exciting event will take place from April 5 to April 8. Also in Currumbin don’t miss a unique and special performance by ‘VOU’, an internationally-acclaimed Fijian dance group that give a thrilling dance show like you’ve never seen before.
That’s not all Festival 2018 Gold Coast has to offer! Other exciting performances and events to catch from April 4 to April 15 include ‘Intimate Space’ - a mesmerising performance by the Restless Dance Theatre; ‘Giant Sing Along’ - a big community sing along that will feature lots of microphones, a huge lyrics screen, and only the most catchiest pop hits; ‘The Rite of Spring’ circus and ballet show; ‘Museum on the Moon’ visual arts exhibit, old-school Hip Hop group 'Boombox Chicks’, entertaining street performances from ‘The Squad’, and much more!
