First on the list is Tugun Lights Up. It's going to be a month long celebration as business establishments light up from December 03 to 31. Both locals and visitors are allowed to vote for the most outstanding Christmas window display. Simply grab a nominating form at the Tugun Fruit Market or at Cr Gail O'Neill's office. Once completed, drop it into Santa's Letterbox at the Tugun Community Bank Branch Bendigo Bank on Golden Four Drive. The winner will be announced on January 4.
Then join the annual White Christmas celebration at the Warner Bros. Movie World on selected nights from December 9. Catch the iconic Christmas parade with all your favourite Warner Bros. characters, hang out with Mrs Claus at the Santa Village, and take an awkward photo with the family.
Another event to look forward to is the Christmas Lights Competition 2016. The lights and competition is going to be bigger and better as the city of Gold Coast collaborates with Yahoo! 7. A group of lighting experts will be viewing every entry and choose which ones are best suited for the “Mayor’s Panel Top 12”. Once the top 12 are chosen, the public can vote for the “7 News Gold Coast People’s Choice Award”.
If you want to see the fabulous entries, then don't hesitate to jump on board the 2016 Christmas Lights bus tours. From December 20 to 24, Murray’s Coaches will be guiding you through the key locations in the city. The tour will depart from The Arts Centre Gold Coast at 7pm and will return by 10pm.
